Medical Definition of Amidostomum anseris
1. A species of bloodsucking nematodes, similar to those of the genus Trichostrongylus, that parasitises the gizzard and sometimes also the proventriculus and oesophagus of domestic and wild ducks and geese; it causes heavy mortality in young birds.
