A nicotinic antagonist that has been used as a ganglionic blocker in hypertension, as an adjunct to anaesthesia, and to induce hypotension during surgery.
Pharmacological action: anaesthesia adjuvants, antihypertensive agents, ganglionic blockers, nicotinic antagonists.
