Medical Definition of Thymic hormone

One of the hormones produced by the thymus that are believed to play a role in the maturation of T-lymphocytes and overall modulation of the immune system. Versions of several of them are under study as anti-HIV therapies-thymopentin and thymosin-a1 in particular.
