Nerve branch by which postsynaptic parasympathetic (secretomotor) fibres from the pterygopalatine ganglion are transferred from the zygomatic nerve to the lacrimal nerve (heretofore purely sensory) for distribution to the lacrimal gland.
Synonym: ramus communicans nervi lacrimalis cum nervo zygomatico.
