Medical Definition of Melkersson-rosenthal syndrome

A syndrome often beginning in childhood or adolescence, characterised by chronic facial oedema, recurrent peripheral facial paralysis, sometimes fissured tongue, and ophthalmological involvement. It is also called granulomatous cheilitis or cheilitis granulomatosa.
