1. Pyrazine hexahydride;its former use in gout was based upon its property of dissolving uric acid in vitro, but it is ineffective in increasing uric acid excretion; its compounds are now used as anthelmintics in oxyuriasis and ascariasis. Synonym: diethylenediamine. (05 Mar 2000)
