1. Drugs which are used in leukaemia therapy to prevent cell division by disrupting the structure of the DNA. Drugs of this type include Daunorubicin, Doxorubicin (Adriamycin), Epirubicin, Idarubicin. See: chemotherapy. (13 Oct 1997)
