Medical Definition of Acrochordon

1. A small outgrowth of epidermal and dermal tissue that may be pedunculated, smooth or irregular, flesh-coloured and benign. Occur most often on the eyelids, neck and axillae, but may be seen almost anywhere on the skin. Most do not require treatment unless they are cosmetically displeasing. (27 Sep 1997)
