1. A broad flat band of smooth muscle and fibrous tissue attached to the right crus of the diaphragm and to the duodenum at its junction with the jejunum. Synonym: musculus suspensorius duodeni, Treitz's ligament, Treitz's muscle. (05 Mar 2000)
