Medical Definition of Shenton's line

1. A curved line formed by the top of the obturator foramen and the inner side of the neck of the femur, seen on an anteroposterior frontal radiograph of a normal hip joint; it is disturbed in lesions of the joint such as dislocation or fracture. (05 Mar 2000)
