Medical Definition of Cockayne's syndrome

Dwarfism, precociously senile appearance, pigmentary degeneration of the retina, optic atrophy, deafness, sensitivity to sunlight, and mental retardation; autosomal recessive inheritance. There is a variant with early onset.
Synonym: Cockayne's disease.
