1. A device to stabilise teeth loosened by accident or by a periodontal condition in the maxilla or mandible; a device to reduce and stabilise maxillary or mandibular fractures by applying it to both jaws and connecting it by intermaxillary wires or rubber bands. (05 Mar 2000)
