Medical Definition of Walking pneumonia

A term used to describe Mycoplasmal pneumonia. most commonly affects those under 40 years of age and is commonly spread in families or closed populations.
Symptoms include headache, muscle aches, fever, cough, chest pain, sore throat and rashes (in some individuals). Treatment is with antibiotics (for example erythromycin)
