Medical Definition of Veiled cell
1. A cell type found in afferent lymph and defined (rather unsatisfactorily) on the basis of its morphology. Probably an accessory cell migrating from the periphery (where it is referred to as a Langerhans cell if in the skin) to the draining lymph node. In the lymph node known as an interdigitating cell and found in the T dependent areas of spleen or lymph nodes, involved in antigen presentation (Class II MHC positive).
