A division of annelids including those which construct, and habitually live in, tubes. The head or anterior segments usually bear gills and cirri.
Synonym: Sedentaria, and Capitibranchiata. See Serpula, and Sabella.
Origin: L. Tubus a tube + colere to inhabit.
