Medical Definition of Trk

1. Oncogene, from human colon carcinoma, encoding a receptor tyrosine kinase. The trk gene product is a receptor for NGF, that of the trkB gene the receptor for neurotrophin 4 and BDNF and the trkC gene the receptor for NT 3.
