An enzyme found predominantly in platelet microsomes. It catalyses the conversion of pgg(2) and pgh(2) (prostaglandin endoperoxides) to thromboxane a2.
Chemical name: (5Z,13E)-(15S)-9alpha,11alpha-Epidioxy-15-hydroxyprosta-5,13-dienoate thromboxane-A(2)-isomerase
