Medical Definition of Thiamphenicol

1. 2,2-dichloro-n-(2-hydroxy-1-(hydroxymethyl)-2-(4- (methylsulfonyl)phenyl)ethyl)acetamide. A methylsulfonyl analog of chloramphenicol. It is an antibiotic and immunosuppressive agent.
