Medical Definition of Squamous odontogenic tumour
1. A benign epithelial odontogenic tumour thought to arise from the epithelial cell rests of Malassez; appears clinically as a radiolucent lesion closely associated with the tooth root and histologically as islands of squamous epithelium enclosed by a peripheral layer of flattened cells.
