Medical Definition of Situs inversus
1.
Condition in which the normal asymmetry of the body (in respect of circulatory system and intestinal coiling) is reversed. Interesting because it occurs in approximately 50% of patients with immotile cilia syndrome, a disorder of ciliary dynein.
