Medical Definition of Scapulohumeral reflex
1. Contraction of muscles of the shoulder girdle and arm caused by tapping the lower part of the unilateral border of the scapula; the muscles which respond vary according to their degree of stretching at the time. Synonym: scapuloperiosteal reflex. (05 Mar 2000)
