Medical Definition of Salt-losing nephritis
1. A rare disorder resulting from renal tubular damage of a variety of aetiologies; mimics adrenocortical insufficiency in that abnormal renal loss of sodium chloride occurs, accompanied by hyponatraemia, azotemia, acidosis, dehydration, and vascular collapse.
