Continuation of right coronary artery in posterior interventricular sulcus; descends to apex to anastomose with anterior interventricular artery; supplies most of diaphragmatic aspect of ventricles and posterior third of interventricular septum.
Synonym: ramus interventricularis posterior arteriae coronariae dextrae, posterior descending artery.
