(2s-(1(r*(r*)),2 alpha,3a beta,6a beta))-1-(2-((1-(ethoxycarbonyl)-3-phenylpropyl)amino)-1-oxopropyl)octahydrocyclopenta(b)pyrrole-2-carboxylic acid. A long-acting angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor. It is a prodrug that is transformed in the liver to its active metabolite ramiprilat.
Pharmacological action: angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors, antihypertensive agents.
