Medical Definition of Plexus aorticus thoracicus
1. Areolar venous plexus, a venous plexus in the areola surrounding the nipple, formed by the mammary veins, and sending its blood to the lateral thoracic vein. Synonym: plexus venosus areolaris, circulus venosus halleri, Haller's circle, vascular circle, venous circle of mammary gland, thoracic aortic plexus. (05 Mar 2000)
