Medical Definition of Photosensitive rash

A rash that occurs from the use of a particular drug when exposed to sunlight.
Medications known to produce a photosensitive skin reaction include: captopril, chlordiazepoxide, furosemide, griseofulvin, oral contraceptives, phenothiazines, sulphonamides, tetracycline, demeclocycline and thiazide diuretics.
