Medical Definition of Phlebotomus fever viruses
1. An unclassified serologic group of arboviruses morphologically like Bunyavirus but antigenically unrelated, transmitted by Phlebotomus papatasi (sandfly) and causing phlebotomus fever; there are 20 strains, including Icoarachi and Itaporanga.
