1. A bone of variable size and shape, located in the glans penis or glans clitoridis of all animals, except man, ungulates, elephants, whales, and a few others; it is particularly well developed in carnivora, and in the dog may reach a length of more than 10 cm; its size and shape are often a characteristic of a species.
