8-l-ornithine vasopressin. A synthetic analog of vasopressin with ornithine in position 8 of the cyclic octapeptide chain. It is used as a local vasoconstrictor and haemostatic.
Pharmacological action: haemostatics, renal agents, vasoconstrictor agents.
