Medical Definition of Nucleolin
1.
A major nucleolar protein (100 kD) that functions as a shuttle protein between nucleus and cytoplasm and is also found on the cell surface. Nucleolin binds midkine and heparin binding growth associated molecule (HB GAM). Medline 1995
