Medical Definition of Nosepiece rotating

A device on the end of the microscope tube to permit the mounting of two to six objectives, any of which may be swung into place, ready for use, by rotating the nose-piece to the desired position. The nosepiece usually occupies a mechanical-tubelength space of 15 mm.
