Medical Definition of Neurokinin k
1.
A mammalian decapeptide tachykinin found in the central nervous system. It is similar in structure and action to substance p and substance k (neurokinin a). The compound has bronchoconstrictor, smooth muscle constrictor, and hypotensive effects and also activates the micturition reflex.
