1. This carcinoma, although rare in North America, is one of the commonest malignancies in men from Taiwan and southern China. Hearing loss from middle ear effusion (collection of fluid in the middle ear space), a lump in the neck and a raised lesion on the palate are among the most common findings. (27 Sep 1997)
