Medical Definition of Mucopolysaccharidoses
1. Inherited diseases in humans resulting from inability to break down glycosaminoglycans. Hunter syndrome and Hurler syndrome, for example: result from defects in lysosomal enzymes needed to break down sulphated mucopolysaccharides.
