Medical Definition of Mucinous carcinoma
1.
A variety of adenocarcinoma in which the neoplastic cells secrete conspicuous quantities of mucin, and, as a result, the neoplasms are likely to be glistening, sticky, and gelatinoid in consistency.
Synonym: colloid cancer, colloid carcinoma.
