Angulated fracture at the junction of the proximal and middle third of ulna accompained by anterior dislocation of the radial head aetiology: transmission of force thorugh the hand and forearm with the elbow partially flexed, interosseous ligament drags the radius with the distal two-thirds of the ulna, MUGR mnemonic, Monteggia with ulna (proximal), Galeazzi with radius (distal) see: forearm fractures
