Medical Definition of Micrococcal nuclease
1.
An enzyme that catalyses the endonucleolytic cleavage to 3'-phosphomononucleotide and 3'-phospholigonucleotide end-products. It can cause hydrolysis of double- or single-stranded DNA or RNA.
