Medical Definition of Longitudinal fold of duodenum
1. A fold of mucosa on the medial wall of the descending part of the duodenum above the major duodenal papilla, probably caused by the relation to the common bile duct. Synonym: plica longitudinalis duodeni. (05 Mar 2000)
