Medical Definition of Leukotaxis
1. 1. The active ameboid movement of leukocytes, especially the neutrophilic granulocytes, either toward (positive leukocytotaxia) or away from (negative leukocytotaxia) certain microorganisms as well as various substances frequently formed in inflamed tissue. 2.
