Medical Definition of Larva currens
1. Cutaneous larva migrans caused by rapidly moving larvae of Strongyloides stercoralis (up to 10 cm/hr), typically extending from the anal area down the upper thighs and observed as a rapidly progressing linear urticarial trail; may also be caused by zoonotic species of Strongyloides.
