Medical Definition of Lamina of cricoid cartilage
1. A quadrate plate forming the posterior part of the cricoid cartilage. It resembles the shield of a signet ring, the arch of the cricoid representing the remainder of the ring. Synonym: lamina cartilaginis cricoideae. (05 Mar 2000)
