Medical Definition of Juvenile cerebellar astrocytoma

1. This primary brain tumour of the cerebellum accounts for 10 to 30% of brain tumours in children. The are usually slow growing and benign. Symptoms include gait problems, clumsiness, headache and vomiting. Treatment often involves a combination of surgery, radiation therapy and chemotherapy. (27 Sep 1997)
