3,3'-[oxybis((1-oxo-2,1-ethanediyl)imino)]bis(2,4,6-triiodo-benzoic acid). Radiopaque medium; a mixture of its meglumine and sodium salts is used to visualise the biliary tract.
Pharmacological action: contrast media.
