Medical Definition of Intracranial hypotension

1. Subnormal pressure of the cerebrospinal fluid. It is most commonly found after lumbar puncture and is associated with headache, nausea, vomiting, stiffness of the neck, and sometimes fever. It may also result from dehydration. (12 Dec 1998)
