Medical Definition of Intertubercular sulcus

1. A furrow running down the shaft of the humerus between the two tubercles, lodging the tendon of the long head of the biceps, and giving attachment in its floor to the latissimus dorsi muscle. Synonym: sulcus intertubercularis, bicipital groove, intertubercular sulcus. (05 Mar 2000)
