Medical Definition of Infectious avian bronchitis
1. A specific infectious disease of young birds, caused by infectious bronchitis virus, a member of Coronaviridae, and associated with blocking of respiratory passages by exudate; it is highly transmissible, and often causes heavy losses of young chicks and heavy production losses among older laying birds.
