Medical Definition of Ileocaecal junction
1. Point along the course of the gastrointestinal tract where the small intestine (ileum) ends as it opens into the caecal portion of the large intestine; occurs usually within the iliac fossa, demarcated internally as the ileocaecal orifice. (05 Mar 2000)
