1. Haemophilic bacteria are bacteria which thrive in the presence of blood. These bacteria all belong to the taxonomic genera of Haemophilus, Bordetella, and Moraxella. They are rod-shaped, gram-negative, nonmotile parasites. (09 Oct 1997)
