1. Inhibitors of the enzyme, dihydrofolate reductase (tetrahydrofolate dehydrogenase), which converts dihydrofolate (fh2) to tetrahydrofolate (fh4). They are frequently used in cancer chemotherapy. (12 Dec 1998)
