Medical Definition of Fibromodulin

1. A small proteoglycan, _60 kD, of the extracellular matrix. The core protein has a mass of _42 kD and is very similar to the core protein of biglycan and decorin. All three have highly conserved sequences containing 10 internal homologous repeats of _ 25 amino acids with leucine rich motifs.
